Licences
The viewer is made of three kinds of code, and each comes with its own terms.
The viewer
The openwebviewer.com code is licensed under the MIT licence. The copyright holder is build informed GmbH. The licence allows use, modification and redistribution as long as the copyright notice and licence text are kept. It excludes any warranty.
The RVT core
Revit files are read by a dedicated core, a compiled WebAssembly module. It is excluded from the MIT licence and belongs to build informed GmbH.
You may use it the way openwebviewer.com loads it in the browser: free of charge, commercially too, on your own files and your clients’. Redistributing it elsewhere, embedding it in your own applications or taking it apart needs our written permission. Statutory rights to decompile for interoperability (Art. 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC) are unaffected.

Third-party components
The viewer builds on other people’s libraries and fonts, among them three.js, That Open Components, web-ifc (MPL-2.0), SolidJS, Roboto Flex, Roboto Mono and Material Symbols. Each keeps its own licence.
One file lists every component that reaches your browser, with version and full licence text. It is regenerated from the installed packages on every build: lizenzen.txt
For the material view, colour values come from physicallybased.info by Anton Palmqvist where available, and textures from ambientCG by Lennart Demes, scaled down and converted. Both are CC0 1.0. The viewer loads the textures only when you switch the material view on, and only from this site.
Trademarks
Revit and RVT are trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. IFC, IDS and BCF are standards of buildingSMART International. The viewer is not affiliated with either.
